Progress from our first lesson.....

Alright ladies, here is the progress that Carrie has made on her scarf. Oh, this only half of it, by the way! Wow, she just took off! Great work Carrie!
The next project will be a scarf as well, however we will be adding a new stitch while still incorporating the knit stitch. These work really quickly once you get used to using the stitch over and over. Anyone else that is making progress, please email me pics and I would love to post your progress! This is a huge encouragement to the other ladies that are learning as well!

Mine looks nothing like that! It's coming along but I'm not taking any pictures yet.

Funny thing is - once I learned to cast on, it was the easiest thing in the world to do. And if I'm doing it right, knitting actually seems to have one less step. Oh well. It's a work in progress and I'm having fun.

Love,
Julie

I am so glad that you got the casting on down. This is the second half, I should post her first half as well. You can see the improvement as she worked on it!

You are EXACTLY right. The casting on is simply adding a step to knitting. So, once you have cast on, you know how to do the knit stitch. I am sooooo glad!

YEAHHHHH!!!

Good work Carrie, and Julie I'm sure you could take a picture. Keep knitting, it just gets easier.
Krisy, you did a good teaching job.
Love you, Gramma
